Monique is a native Trinidadian who, in her teen years, moved to Toronto, Canada and pursued a successful career in acting, primarily on stage. She has been in an array of theatrical performances, ranging from Pirandello to Mime, from Shakespeare to Jesus Christ Superstar and even hilarious West Indian comedies.

In doing so, she has had the opportunity to tour the world ..... or some of it, that is. She's toured extensively in Hong Kong, Hawaii, North America, including living in New York City, and of course across Canada.

Moving to Germany at the innocent age of 30!, she ventured into music of the Heavy Metal/ Hard Rock variety with "Virtual Moon". Very interesting! She even appeared in an opera upon a request. Now, that was an adventure!!

She then moved to England and helped form the band "In Ya Pocket", doing Jazz with a twist.... a perfect niche for her, and a definite broadening of horizons for the South West. After being together for a several years, the band has already residences in The Union Inn, Saltash and The Jazz Cafe, on the Barbican, Plymouth which is the biggest Jazz club in the area. The band is now looking to spread its' wings, so if you are interested in seeing this bunch of wild wacky and talented musicians, bring "Monique and In Ya Pocket" into your life!!!!! 

Having lived England for several years, she has now moved back to Germany, but!! she will be coming back to England regularly to sing for us with Monique & In Ya Pocket !!
